Hopefully there is someone here that can help me with a file conversion. I have had some input from various forums, but since this is an audio problem ... here I am.
I have an ASF Video I am trying to convert to DivX.
I've got the video OK, but the audio only gets about halfway, then goes blank. using TMPGEnc.
Graphedit doesn't seem to want to work for me (XP pro) and I can't find a FREE converter for WMA to WAV.
I sure the audio stream is corrupted, so I need something that can work with this ...
I'm looking for simple.
The only thing that looks like it may work is FFMpeg, but I am having trouble getting it to work ... Anyone familiar with this and the codec library it uses ?
Any help appreciated ..
Winamp version 2.6 or prior will decode WMA to WAV. Download the full version of Winamp 2.6 from Winamp Heaven:

You only need keep the in_wm.dll file.
Also, Goldwave will decode WMA to WAV, although it is shareware, and not free.

SoundForge6 will decode too.
And you should try to correct the ASF file with some kind of utility like ASFFix.

Used ASFTools to 'repair' the file and it seemed to convert the audio to a DivX WMA.
FlaskMpeg won't handle file and VirtualDub still doesn't like the Video so it won't load. TMPGEnc won't load the 'repaired' file and it only converts the audio upto the 'damaged' part of the original.
Looking for a tool to seperate AUDIO & VIDEO streams and then I can try WinAmp 2.6 or Soundforge ..
Any ideas ?

CONVERTED.
Soundforge 6 did the job.
Loaded entire ASF into Soundforge, no need to seperate Audio and Video streams. Then just a simple 'save as' WAV
This was also done with the 'Original' asf file, which had corrupted audio, Soundforge gave options to correct this if desired also. nice.
1st time using Soundforge, nice program & easy to use.
Thanks for all the help guys.
