I'm sure most people have noticed this also (and probably there were posts like this before), but the help message that you get when you type in "lame --help" gives "lame -h input.wav output.mp3" as the RECOMMENDED setting. I don't think that is the case any more unless your only goal is to create CBR 128kbp mp3 files. Even the latest stable version (3.95.1) and also the HA recommended compile (3.90.3) both display that message. Is there a good reason that it should stay that way? At the very least, since 3.90.3 is HA's own version/compile, it should show something different, or reflect the HA recommended settings (in the main --help screen, not in the --preset help screen), or maybe that line should be deleted from the --help screen IMHO. There's certainly no date/update info, even in the --longhelp option.

All it does have is;
-- Compiled at http://www.hydrogenaudio.org
-- Check this website for up to date information on the --alt-presets

Obviously updating is a nuisance during development, but a date when the help was compiled would at least warn a user that it may not be current.
