Hi All,
I record vinyl mixes to wav files direct from my mixer, using MusicMatch 8.1. I have two problems. One, the volume level is low on the wav file. Second, the volume of each track differs, normally because I have not quite managed to get the levels right during the mix. My technical knowledge is quite limited. I have trawled through various sites and tried to use WaveGain, to no avail.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Many Thanks

your best bet is to use a wave editor so you can adjust recording levels, amongst lots of other, well, editing.

I like soundforge. Alot of folks around here like cool edit pro (adobe audition)
Audicity is a freeware alternative
minix
Feurio wink.gif is very fast because its Track Editor is non-destructive.
It has a recording module.
Everything's done on the fly (normalization is inmediate while playing).
