Hi!
I think it would be cool if Case's gap killer was not a dsp, but an option in the output method, just like W**amp
Erm, it's a DSP because not everybody needs or wants to use it.
Most of my files are in mpc, which is inherently gapless, so I have no use for gapkillers.
Furthermore, all my 'live-concert' mp3 files have been fixed with the correct amount of padding, and are mostly gapless already in FB2K.

What functionality would this bring that the DSP configuration lacks?

I just wanted it to be part of fb2k without having to download it separately. Not a big problem anyway
erm, it's always been a part of fb2k for me. anyway, i think this is the correct way of doing it.

point of output plugin is to output what's thrown at it, not to mess with data in some way. that'd be the job of dsp plugins.
besides, do you even realize that your suggestion would require implementing gap killing in
every single output plugin?!
Yep, you're all right, it should stay as a dsp. And BTW I didn't know it was part of the special installer. Why isn't that installer in the official fb2k page and only in Case's page?
it has been on the official page for a while.. /me checks.. yes it's on the official page if you click download.. why it isn't on the front page with the others i don't know.
