Hi, I have been a devoted foobar user for more that a year now, but know I found something that is "problematic" to me, and I don't know how to work it out.

I have my files arranged in directories that represent albums, with this structure:
D:\Audio\Some artist\Release date - Album name\01- Trackname.mp3

I found the default string in Preferences-->Core--Sort incoming files by, altered the "order" in which I had my albums set when I loaded them. So, I changed the string to "%_path%" and everything went fine.

But now I want to make use of foobar's diskwriter to batch encode a whole bunch of albums that I ripped with EAC as image/cue. When I load the cue sheets, the files come up on the playlist all "scrambled" (track 08, track 07, track 01, track 02). I changed the "sort incoming files" option to its default string and the cue sheets loaded up the tracks in perfect numerical order.

So what I now kindly request, since I don't really understand foobar's string code enough to write my own line is if somebody could please come up with a string that could allow both "situations" to load up properly in the playlist.

Thank you.

Have you tried adding [$num(%_subsong%,2)]?

edit: Shouldn't the default string work well? It's %_path%|$num(%_subsong%,9)

Thank you.
That seems to do the trick.
My default string was something else.
Most be because I have not made a clean install --rather I have been "upgrading"-- since 0.667, I think.
