Greetings!

I hope this isn't the wrong place to post, but anyway, I am sure it will be moved if it is. smile.gif

As you might have read in a couple of threads, my HDD died together with my printer and scanner. Because my PC will turn 6 in March, I thought I might buy a birthday present fot it. laugh.gif I came across the Lexmark X5150 printer and scanner (2 devices in 1) and also looked at some test. Some users say that the quality of the prints is very good, others say that it is pretty bad. Also, some say that the costs for cartridge and paper is high, others tell the opposite. If you have this device, what is your opinion?

The most important thing, however, is a new HDD. The one I have at the moment really sucks!
The Seagate ST3120026A seems to be a good device. It has 120 GB (which is more than enough for me), 7200 rpm, 8 MB buffer and is UDMA 100. À propos UDMA 100, does any of you now if an UDMA 100 disk can be used in an UDMA 66 system?
Again, what do you think of the product?

Regards,
Sebastian Mares

PS 1: Maybe I should say that the Lexmark combo-device costs 120 € here in Germany and the Seagate HDD 90 €.
PS 2: I also found out that the transfer rate of the disk is 100 MB/s and that the access time is 8.5 ms.

Yes, it can be used without problems. You can only have slower transfer rates.
About Seagate drives there was disscusion recently:
