Hello!

My question is: is there any *normal* command line AAC encoder (not FAAC and PsyTEL)? Nencode is not fully command line, because it doesn't give to configure encoding parameters from the command line. Maybe there is some way to use Sorenson or QuickTime from the command line?

Thank you.

P.S. Does iPOD fully accept Nencode encoded *CBR* MP4 aac's?

Sure, why not? Nencode uses the Nero encoder DLL.

Well, I have a few of them right here, but end users will probably never see them smile.gif

I don't know any (other then FAAC/Psytel) that are publically available.

Very pity...
Maybe you know is there any way to configure Nencode from command line? Where it (Nero) stores the parameters? I didn't find the records in Windows registry...

Hi,

I saw many misunderstandings about compaact! command line usage. Therefore a short overview:
- You can start compaact! from a DOS-Box
- You can encode with compaact! from DOS-Box
- You can write Batch-Scripts to encode files with compaact!
- You can integrate compaact! in EAC
- You can adjust all settings available in the GUI via a preset file

But,
compaact! is not a command line application in the sense that a shell window opens when executing. There will be only a small progress bar for each file to make clear something happens.

Best regards,
Alexander
