I've noticed that files encoded to FLAC format with fb2k 0.8 beta gives "FLAC_vendor = reference libFLAC CVS 20031217" as opposed to "FLAC_vendor = reference libFLAC 1.1.0 20030126" with fb2k 0.7.7b.

What are the differences, if any, between the two versions? Is it safe to use the CVS version to archive my files, or should I use the stable 1.1.0 version?

Seems that the CVS version is about 1 year newer.
Case
It has been stable in my testing and older versions can't generate proper OggFLAC files.
