Hello,
This is sort of audio related, but i have a Logitech 700MX wireless mouse, and when i scroll either using the wheel or the scroll bar in IE, i hear a "squeak" come out of my speakers, like by moving the page i am making a squeaky wheel squeak! Now, it doesn't do this in anything but IE, does this happen to anyone else? anyone found a fix?
Thanks
kjoonlee
Do you have "smooth scrolling" enabled in IE's options? You could try switching that off and seeing if that helps.

Yes, i did have smooth scrolling on, i turned it of and the noise went way down. Now only when i drag the scroll bar down does it make a sound, sort of a quite "buzz" as i move it. It's not too annoying... but it still there. Thanks for the pointer about smooth scrolling. Does anyone know how to get rid of the "buzz" when you drag scroll?
Thanks

I've noticed that the sound does not occur when the speakers are being used for something, like playing music. The sound only occurs when the speakers are on but nothing is playing. Odd...

Try muting everything but wave and volume in the sound control panel

Ok, i did that and here were my results...

Both "CD audio" and "Line in" when active cause their to be an audible "hiss" in my speakers. Specificaly when Line in is muted is when the "Squeak" goes away. The only thing i have pluged into my line in is the line in from my All-In-Wonder card for watching TV on my computer. I don't believe that my CD Audio line is used, my DVD drive is attached by the "CD Digital" line. when i unplug the wire from the line in, the sound stops regardless of weither the line in source is muted or not.

Anyone know a work around that lets me keep "Line In" unmuted but still have the wire pluged in?

Thanks
