Even if i think they should provide a standard (30?), pro (40?), and deluxe (50) nero bundles, i don't even mind paying 50, but i want to have option of installing what *I* want ... Audition is pretty good indeed
You are absolutely right at this point - when a big company sells products for different needs, they should be selectable by customers - as in many cases they are - just look InterVideo (fe); all their apps and plugins are sold separately or bundled just like the CUSTOMER needs.
In Nero Bundle :
- One needs just to burn / convert !
- The other needs video editing and making DVD's, maybe recoding a 7GB DVD to one 4.3GB with still good quality.
- And someone only needs the audioplayers / convertors - maybe the audio-editor too.
(Or just takes backup of the system files wit Nero backItUp!)
So they are all different products - why making a 'must-pay' bundle of them all - even by losing functionality if all are not installed (as i mentioned the Nero Digital Audio HE-AAC-Encoder versioning case between Nero Main (6.3.0.3) & NeroVision Express 2 v2.1.0.8)!
One funny thing is that they sell the MPEG-2 Encoder / Decoder as separate (it's part of the full bundle) - i cannot imagine anyone else than a hacker to need that one to get a poor-keygenned version to make MPEG-files and DVD's?
But, money makes the world go round and many are still buying that whole bundle (as i have done) - but i feel a bit bad, because i only need about half of the whole stack!
P.S. Adobe Audition IS good (maybe best) SW for audio editing / mixing and does have many input / output format plugins and more are coming soon (having that one myself too upgraded from Cool Edit Pro 2)
