i have a MP4 file, encoded with the new nero aac version 2.6.1.9 and foobar 0.8 beta 5 gives me the following message during playback always on the same position:

ERROR (foo_input_std) : Maximum number of bitstream elements exceeded
ERROR (foo_input_std) : MP4: decode error.

no problems with MP4 files encoded with the previous nero aac version 2.6.1.1.

yes, HE-AAC 50-70 kbits VBR profile.

just tried the other presets and the problem seems only to exist with the "VBR/Stereo - Portable, 50-70 Kb/s [HE ACC]" setting.. all others presets work correctly.

Could be related to this.

I just got the same error on a non HE-AAC file (transparent profile). The error occurs when the song finishes playing. Let me know if you need me to upload the song somewhere so you can debug the problem.

This was with Foobar2000 v0.8 beta 6.

Did you read the other thread I posted above? You probably need the updated foo_input_std available here (note: requires foobar2000 0.8 Beta 6).

That fixed it. I noticed Case had posted the new file and assumed he would create a new compile of beta 6. Guess Case is getting slower than I give him credit for . Just kidding Case, I appreciate everything you do for the HA community.

Guess there will be a beta 7 compile pretty soon
