Both are non-standard containers for those formats, that lead (or will) to usability issues.
You are maybe right about the 'non-standard' container, but as a matter of fact, if i want to use a Vorbis audio with a MPEG4 video track in my movie, matroska and OGM are the only viable options right now. Or think MPEG4 video + FLAC audio, or whatever. So, depending on what i want to do it, the user might have a reason to use matroska instead of MP4.
But, what i dont get here is, why would anybody want to put MPC into WAV, instead of using the native format ? What's the benefit ? You cant edit the WAV file in any WAV based audio editor as current MPC blocks cant be handled that way ( bit from sample blocks may be distributed over several packed blocks and the like, SV 7.5 was supposed to solve this ), you cant seek in the file, so whats the point ?
After all, i was just curious if there actually
is a reason i didnt think of ......
