hi, all

now, i hope to test audio encoding quality.
my tutor think whether it is necessary for buying the software or hardware. i feel at a loss for that, and i indeed don't believe the product can give much help.

how about the software?
could it surely give quite correct results for codecs testing?

all comments will be welcome.

regards.

No, it can't smile.gif Andree Buschmann told me that the company he worked for as a student had Opera software and it labeled Fatboy.wav encoded with mp3enc at 128 kbps as 'excellent'

It is probably using similar psychoacoustic model like FhG mp3 encoders.

Other solution would be to employ physiological ear model from Frank Baumgarte but I don't know any software that has this implemented.
