Why foobar2000 don't automatically check for any available updates on net and don't inform about it user???

A webserver is exactly the service required for this, and I believe foobar2000 already has a website. Therefore, there must be another reason for the exclusion of this feature.

Well ... I must admit that I responded a little too fast (not read thoroughly) thinking it's once again a request for automatic updating foobar2000 (sorry for that). Regarding this point I think the usage of bittorrent which was introduced lately speaks for itself (and my reply aimed in that direction).

I don't really know anything about the requirements/stress for the server of a simple notifying system (having in mind that it seems to be a rapidly growing number of people using foobar2000). I just think Peter doesn't really like that idea/feature IMHO.
