recently learned that up to four M-Audio Audiophile 2496 soundcards can be installed on a windows machine. if one were to install two 2496's, how would foobar2000 handle them as output devices? would it be ambiguous as to which physical card was which in the foobar2000 output device selection menu?

any help is certainly appreciated

No, the M-Audio drivers handle multiple installations so you will see something like:

AP #1 Multi
AP #1 1/2
AP #1 S/PDIF
AP #2 Multi
AP #2 1/2
AP #2 S/PDIF

... if that makes sense!
