Full Version: Strange bug in Winamp

I noticed a strange problem playing audio files over the Network. Winamp cant play files that are dragged and dropped from a Network folder.

eg: if I connect to a machine and explore the SongsServerSongs directory and drag and drop the files over Winamp, it just doesnt play em'. However if I map the Network drive, it does play em' properly.

Im using Winamp 2.80. Im not very sure about this but I could do this thingy in earlier Winamp versions.

experttech.

It depends on the input plugin. I tested some plugins and mpc, ogg and lpac works, Nullsoft's mp3 decoder starts playing but Winamp hangs. Aac using latest faad2 plugin from Roberto's site didn't even start playing.

I have no problems playing .wav, musepack, and Shorten files that have been dragged into winamp from a network folder...

Oh yeah, the problem is there in the Nullsoft's mp3 decoder. When I changed the input plugin to MAD, the dragged files played properly.

sounds like you are using first v2.80 version. get v2.80a.
