Full Version: MPC supported platforms

Just wanted to say that MPC's great, but why is there support for so few platforms? I have a pc and mac (osx) and would like to be able to encode mpcs on both platforms. There already is a native osx decoder due to the availability of the decoder source, but why are there only encoders for windows and intel architectures? This lack of support is one of the reasons I haven't fully switched to mpc from vorbis.

Up to the developer to do what he wants with the source...

Oops! Just got burned by closed source wink.gif

Code-wise, it probably has alot of assembly (its damn fast) which would be alot of porting to stick it to PPC.

There probably is a C version too, although it'll encode slower, of course.

Problem is most likely that no developer has regular accesss to a PPC machine.
