How many sectors per read does an audio cd player read. (I mean how many sectors is read per one read command by an audio cd stereo player) Thanks, Giņ

Spath must know, but I guess that it reads the whole CD without stopping, that is 360,000 sectors at once for a 80 minutes CD

I know alot of portable cd players now read a certain length, load it as a buffer and then shut down the laser until the buffer is about to run out. This accomplishes two things. 1) Skip free playback and 2) longer battery life
