Full Version: M-Audio Delta 2496 spdif out dead?

If I connect the spdif out with the spdif in of my M-Audio Delta Audiophile 2496 with the latest drivers, I don't return any signal! That is strange, because in the monitor mixer of the soundcard I can see that some output is send because of the vu meters. But the input doesn't retrieve any signal, any ideas for that curious behavior? Also if I connect the output with a coax-->opto converter my connected minidisc player doesn't get anything, but the coax out of my onboard card works. blink.gif unsure.gif

Are you sure the cable is good?

Is the spdif clock in master mode, or is it perhaps set to follow spdif in?

You can set this in the driver panel.

Yes, the cable is good I think! If the spdif clock is in master mode I only get a very terrible high frequency noise... crying.gif

Oops. I accidentally typed my response as a report.

Need to have Master Clock set to "S/PDIF In" if you want to use a digital signal on the input.

But why no signal on the minidisc through the converter?
