I keep ending up only with WAV files no matter what I do--EAC seems to do no compression for me. I have WMA9 lossless specified in the compression option as an external compressor. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong

Do you have Windows Media Player 9 installed? I think that is all you should need to be able to encode Windows Media 9 content.

If you do have Windows Media Player 9 installed then try installing this: http://sivut.koti.soon.fi/poiko/wma9_redist.exe

Edit: Is it necessary to install the codecs to encode using EAC even if you have Windows Media Player 9 installed? By the way, you could also try installing this: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsme...ecdownload.aspx
