I have recently acquired a used Pioneer A-335 integrated amplifier, without any documentation. I want to know the technical specs for the amp, primarily the rated RMS output power into 8 ohms / stereo.
I am not sure the age of the model, but I'd guess approximately 10 years, +- a few years. There is a serial number, but no clue as to manufacture date. I have done a number of searches on Google using various combinations of the model number with absolutely no luck. Pioneer themselves does not post any info on older models, not even user manuals. I have tried contacting their local distributor via email, with no response.
The amp works fine, I'm just concerned about damage to the bookshelf speakers I'm currently using it with, which are only rated at 40W (not peak). The input power is rated as 410W, so I'd guess that the output is probably near 100W / channel, taking into account amplifier efficiency and transformer losses.
Does anyone have this amp and can provide the specs?
