so lets say we have a badly scratched cd.
lets say my plextor premium read it fine will a cheap cd player mayby not read it cause its so cheap? or will it be slower?
just wondering how c1 c2 errors are handled by different cdr drivers

First, there is no universal answer to your question ... some drive will handle scratches better than other drives, another drive might be better if you have unreadable CDR media or badly-stamped CD's ...
What I do when I still encounter EAC read/sync errors after cleaning is to try out another drive ... fortunately, I can choose between 9 completely different operational drives (my two LiteOn CDRW drives 24x/52x count as one for me) - If I'm lucky, one of these will read the CD.
If the CD is severely scratched (especially in tangential direction), I might give polishing a try before actually trying to rip ... I use some special polishing agent for watches' polycarbonate glasses called "PolyWatch" ... sometimes works like a miracle.
