Which turntable?

Technics 1210M5G, Stanton STR8-150, Numark TTX, or Vestax PDX-2000?

I'm leaning towards the Stanton, personally. IMHO, the Vestax and the Numarks' try too hard to be "high tech", and while I haven't heard bad things about them, I've heard nothing but good things about the Stanton.

I guess if I can't decide, the Technics is always a safe choice. Just going to pick up one for right now, as a replacement for my Pioneer.

I just picked up one of the Stanton STR8-80s myself, and I love it. I believe the 150 has more torque making it better for scratching, but I bought my 80 for home listening only and the sound quality is excellent. The built-in preamp and SPDIF is very nice as well since my new amp doesn't have a phono jack :sob:

vestax would be my 2nd choice, i've played on a couple different models... very strong competitor to technics

I can't comment on the Stanton, but i can on Technics sl1200/1210. They are rock-stable and indestructible. Very good value for your money.
