I'm about to go from 0.7.7 to 0.8, which will be my first foobar2000-upgrade ever. Is there something special do consider/think about? Can I just install over my old installation or should something else be done first?
Best regards,
Anders

As far as I know everything should be ok, but there's always a possibility that there's some component that might fuck up your foobar config, so I would suggest making a backup copy of your foobar2000.cfg file (which can either be found in the installation directory [if you haven't enabled per user settings] or in %documents and settings%\username\application data\foobar2000 folder)
But again, there should be no problem as far as i know, but then again do i know too much...
The only thing you should do is back up your album list formatting string because of the changes to album list.
Other than that, you shouldn't encounter any issues.
