Hi. I'm a fb2k newb and I've got the latest version of foo_clienc running to do transcoding under 0.8. I am wondering if there is any way to invoke other command-line flags or --alt-presets other than -medium, -standard, -extreme or -insane. I've been poking around on the board and I can't find any such option. (Laugh all you want, but I'm a 256k / CBR guy.)

TIA!

I won't laugh, but you really would be better off (quality and size-wise) just using aps, unless you really really do need CBR. Maybe aps + a minimum bitrate or ABR 256 would make you feel more comfortable?

Anyway, it is your choice. Just select Add New in the Diskwriter "Output Presets" area, then configure it for whatever LAME settings you want. Or even easier, you could also choose one of the existing LAME presets (like --alt-preset-insane), then Edit it and change the Parameters to "-b 256 - %d".
