how do I make Foobar write id3v2 tags by default when using freedb?
when I downloaded the cd info from freedb, and wriote the tags, I checked which tags were used with MP3 tag tools, and there I saw that only id3v1 tags were used!
what is the purpose of foo_id3v2.dll if foobar doesn't use them by default?

P.S. I have tried searching for previous mentions of this problem, but the forum's search is broken rolleyes.gif

What about just tag reading?

If you want to write id3v2 tags you have to tell foobar2000 to do so:
preferences-->Input-->Standard inputs: here you can choose the tag type which should be written to mp3s.
