Hello, I don't know if this is the right section for this topic but I don't see how it could fit somewhere else. I tried doing some research first but did not find anything (Unless I'm doing it wrong ph34r.gif)

Lately I've been hearing choppiness when hearing music, almost like it skips some miliseconds of the songs... at first I thought it happened randomly... but now I've made a discovery, it happens while I type.

I've tried two sound cards, so I'm positive it's not the sound card, I don't know if it could be the keyboard itself generating some conflict, I have not tried with another keyboard and this one was not causing any trouble before.

As of now I'm using the onboard audio (nVIDIA nForce), I also have a sound blaster live value.

Thanks for your help and ideas biggrin.gif

I had a problem exactly like this too, and I found that the problem is the PS/2 port(s).

Unless you switch to a USB keyboard + mouse, you have to tamper with the RAM speed settings in the BIOS. Rather risky, and I'm not sure if it actually works as I haven't tried it. I bought a USB keyboard and now everything works fine...

You didn't happen to install your System with APIC enabled, did you ... ?

nForce 2 mainboards are known for that issue ...

Sorry it took me so long to reply, I'm using a USB keyboard now and evruthing is fine, however I will also look into APIC, thank you both!! biggrin.gif

In BIOS set typematic rates to "auto" or default ones and the problem will stop, I used to have the same problem and it was only because I set my typematic rate at the fastest (so it was faster to browse in bios but wasn't worth the bug!)
