I am encoding using basic LAME with ALT standard...out of the 30 or so CDs Ive ripped about 5 have had 3 or 4 songs that are .wav files? Any ideas as to why this is happening?
Ive tried going back and encoding again but these certain songs are only coming out as .wav.
Any insite would be great!! thx........

what are you doing/using?
CD ripper: EAC, cdparanoia, CDex, ... ?
LAME: 3.90.3 ?

Im using EAC w/ 3.90.3
--alt-preset extreme %s %d
its only on certain cds. I will go back and look at which ones they were. Im not new to encoding but am by no means a pro. I pretty new to EAC though..was using CDEX.
