To Peter, a suggestion:

I know you're probably pretty busy with coding, but I have a suggestion for the fb2k website once you get the time. How about a page where various title format strings can be shown, along with screen captures of what they look like in the playlist. Users could simply browse for a string that looks good for them, then copy/paste the text directly from the page into foobar.

I know there's an entire topic in this forum devoted to strings, but it's inherently unusable. Very few have screenshots, and the are too many pages to go through. Too much trial-and-error.

A nice webpage with strings and screenshots would be welcome by everyone. Format strings are a way cool feature, but much too difficult for most users (especially Joe Sixpack) to figure out on their own. (I know how it is, I'm sw dev manager for digital imaging software)

There really should be a link to it from the fb2k site though, or a dedicated page. Many people won't take the time to read the forums to find this information.
