Under playback you can set pre-amp settings.
and you can use + and - to adjust the volume.

In case you want to distort the sound in any way, why not simply use the equalizer.
A nice smiley face should be able to achieve what you want
Other options you might still have would be using either the convolver or compressor dsp's.
