Full Version: An OptimFROG Frontend

Dear HydrogenAudio mavens,

I'm curious as to whether it's feasible for me to create a front-end for OptimFROG that would take advantage of all its cool features. Ideally, I'd like to see something come about that would resemble Speek's wavpack interface, with the ability to encode ofr and ofs, and with a simple tag editor (even the tag frontend on Mr. Speek's site doesn't recognize these).

Now the downside: I have absolutely no experience coding anything. LOLOLOL! I've been meaning to learn for years though, and this might be the perfect opportunity. Does anyone have a template or a howto or anything that might give me an idea as to how to start? Just curious.

You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one...

The latest version of Speek's Multifrontend can encode OptimFrog & OptimFrog Dualstream, and add tags (with tag.exe). All of their cool features can be utilized with the command lines.

Foobar also encodes both versions of Optimfrog with foo_clienc.dll.

I'm no coder either, but I think you'll have a hard time trying to improve on Speek's frontends.

Good luck.
