The guide to setting up EAC at http://www.ping.be/satcp/cd2mp3-en.htm#introduction is no longer there. Does anyone know what happened to it or if another guide is out there?

Thanks.

Hey,

In the faq there is a link to satcp for downloading 'ASPI check utility'. Anybody got another link with the same program that is used in the coaster factory eac faq.
Sir_Fresh
I found the program and I don't have the needed ASPI, but I want the right drivers so a link to up to date ASPI drivers would be very much appreciated.

i have Xp and I can only find drivers from 23 Nov 2002 on the official Adaptec site.
Sir_Fresh
Do you really need ASPI for EAC. Can't SCSI be used.

Can't you drop the winaspi.dll in the EAC directory? Works for me.

Unless I am mistaken those aspi drivers 4.71 are the latest.

The program aspichk is in the forceaspi package as well as on the adaptec website.

Edit: Aspichk is on the above page too.

thanks

I downloaded and installed 4.7 ASPI. Could this have any harmfull affects to my computer. I use XP.

To late to ask now! ohmy.gif

Seriously though it has no effects on my PC although as mentioned earlier I had to search on google then place the winaspi.dll in my EAC directory.

Very good, but... the configuration pictures at the bottom of the wiki guide seem to have been stored on the now non-existant guide on the ping.be servers and aren't showing up anymore...

All the better SatCP's excellent site is back, albeit on a different location. But does anyone know whatever happened to another excellent EAC configuration site, viz <http://www.saunalahti.fi/cse/EAC>? It doesn't seem to be up anymore.
