Hi guys. Im a newbie hear, and what a great site. Im already addcited! Ive been reading for 4 hours already non-stop and its 3am here already!

Anyways I have a quick question. I recently got an iPod and would like to hook it up to my headunit using the cd-changer port. That thing is that I havent been able to find an adapter for my car anywhere! I literally found an adapter for every car except for mine! I have a 2001 Nissan Maxima w/ BOSE.

I am willing to try to make my own cable if some1 can help me out. I tried to look for schematics and stuff but could not find anything! I really do not want to use an fm modulator especially since I have an available aux input thats not even used.

If any1 can help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in avance.

Can you post a picture of the the dashboard?

If you have a cassette player then you could get an adapter for that. (puts out crappy quality.)
If you have a line in plug (for a lack of better title) the you could get an adapter that puts out prestine quality moreso then the cassatte.

If I could see the dashboard then I could be more help.

I gues I can post pics but I dont think its necessary. Because I know I can have a cassette adapter. I do hav e aline-in but i isnt a true line in. IT is an Auxiliary input for a cd-changer device only. Now a lot of cars have special adapters that convert tat into rca inputs. But I have yet to find one for the max.

Probably gonna have to go to a Nissan dealer. Or look on ebay. You might be better off looking on a site that specializes in car audio. I know if you go to www.mercedesshop.com and go to the car audio forum, the owner of LaJolla Car Audio near LA hangs out there alot and answers alot of questions.
