Full Version: FB2K can't play audio cd

Using WinXP, no service pack, P3 500Mhz, 256mb ram, foobar2000 0.8 standard.
When ik try to play an audio cd i get the following error message:

INFO (CORE) : opening file for playback :
INFO (CORE) : location: "cdda://01891174,06" (0)
WARNING (foo_cdda) : cd access error, attempting to reread
ERROR (foo_cdda) : cd access failed
INFO (foo_cdda) : AkripDeinit

I don't think it's a hardware error, since Windows Media Player plays the cd without a problem. My cd player is an Aztech double speed (AZT 26803I SE).

I should say that this is on my daughter's pc. On mine i don't have this same problem (with a Teac 40speed cd-rom drive). Does foobar2000 have a problem with older types of cdrom drives?

Not sure if you've seen this thread but it's worth a shot...
