Full Version: Mass Tag AAC -need filename in Title field

I have ~3,000 AAC files which are not tagged.
A filename example: c:\Music\Clapton, Eric\The Cream of Clapton (1995)\01-FeelFree.aac
These files are sorted within Directories by Album Name.

What are the commands to get foobar to use this filename and populate the Title and Tracknumber fields?

Then I know how to use EAC to Edit Tags by group to insert other info. Unless foobar can pull from the directory names. ?

Thanks

Masstagger > Edit Tags > Add > Guess value from filename > %tracknumber%-%title%

Should work OK.

Yes, that seemed fairly intuitive and I did that. But after I press Run, the only field populated is TrackNumber which becomes "01-FeelFree.aac"

So what's the proper step to make it update the Title Field?

edit: OK, found a manual (of sorts) http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....ic=12653&st=0&&

Has a section "Extracting Information from Relative File Paths:" which is exactly what I need. However the formulas aren't working for me. eg: to set the Album from the path I use $directory(%_path%,1) returns title as Album[Date]
and now the Ablum name is "$directory(%_path%,1) returns title as Album[Date]
