I have a problem with some HE-AAC audio that I encoded from a 5.1 AC3 soundtrack with Nero Recode. The settings were 160kbps 48kHz. It sounds like the gain control is really messed up. The sections that should be loud are very quiet and the center (vocal) channel is barely audible. In the sections that are somewhat listenable, I hear what sounds like compression/decompression "pumping." Anyone else having this problem? I've tried decoding with Nero, CoreAAC, 3ivx, and faad, and it's in all the outputs. Any known bugs? Menno, JohnV, Ivan...any ideas? Thanks!

Sorry, can't reproduce here. Center channel and surround channels seem to be ok here with Recode 2.0.0.18, ShowTime 1.5.0.22, aacenc32.dll 2.6.2.2 with HE-AAC 48khz.

Thanks JonnV! I was just wondering if it's a known bug so I don't ever do whatever caused it again (bitrate and/or sample rate).
I could demux and provide an audio sample, but the problem appears to be gone in Recode 2.0.0.17 so I guess it's moot now.
