Burrrn is the easy yet powerfull audio burrrning app.
Some of the nifty features include:
- support for many formats
- sample accurate/gapless mp3 decoding
- a CUE sheet editor
The new version is mainly a bugfix release. A serious bug that prevented burning was fixed.

Please add the ability to put in a 2 seconds of silence. Lots of times tracks are ripped with silence at the end deleted and there is no way to put it back using Burrrn, short of doing a lot of messing with cue sheets. A checkbox could be burried on one of the config pages with a default value of off. Were it not for that one thing, I would use Burrrn instead of Burnatonce.

Thanks Gambit. Love this tool.
Will check it out later on, sounds like you smacked the illegal toc bug around, so I'm happy.
Here's a couple direct download mirrors since the apehaus is already a couple gigs over its monthly bandwidth allocation.

Hello,
Thanks for a wonderful programme.
I am however having a problem when trying to burn.
I dont know much about this type of problem so forgive me if the answer is obvious.
Here is the error:
CODE
ERROR: Cannot open SCSI device 'ASPILOCK:0,0,0': Open by 'devname' not supported on this OS
ERROR: Please use option '--device bus,id,lun', e.g. --device 0,6,0
ERROR: Cannot setup device ASPILOCK:0,0,0.
I used forceASPI17 and after re-booting it worked fine.
But when I tried to do another disc it came up with the same error again.
hope you can help.
Thanks

Use SPTI. You can change it in the .ini file in the burrrn directory.

Yes, but from the error message, it looks like it's still picking up aspi. What aspi layer are you using? Try aspichk from adaptec's site. Nero should have it's own aspi, winaspi32.dll or something. Not too sure about NTI.
You could try deleteing the ini file (keep a backup).
Also try reinstalling burrrn.
Other than that, gambit may be around soon.

I deleted it and re installed. Seems I was running it from an old partition, I hadnt actually 'installed it' since formating my c drive. It works like a dream now.
Thanks a lot for the obvious easiest suggestion!
Many thanks

Gambit, I have a feature request for Burrrn. I would like to see a function added to the .cue sheet editor where I can create a .cue sheet for multiple song files from a .cue sheet that was for a single album file. Basically I want a .cue sheet converted from a whole album file to a .cue sheet (for the same album) with multiple file support. Is this possible?

Hy fellas. I'm having problems with Burrrn 1.11. It doesn't want to burn .wav files I create with the Diskwriter in foobar2000. Here is the error report:
CODE
ERROR: path_to_file 01: found sampling rate 48000, require 44100.
ERROR: Header of audio file "path_to_file 01 " is corrupted.
ERROR: C:\Program Files\CDinDVD\Burrrn\burrrn.toc:6: Cannot determine length of track data specification.
...
I can see the problem is here - found sampling rate 48000, require 44100. But it's funny that I get the same error when I let Burrrn decode the mp3s. What to do?

Gambit, I had an error with burrn 1.11.
as I had dropped several mp3's into burrrn, but found that there were duplicates, I removed them, burned an cd and found those removed files on the cd.
same thing happened with cuesheets, i'd dropped into it.
I don't know if this only happens if you have already burned an cd and then altered the cd-content and burn again.
or did I make any mistakes?
thank you for this nice little app Gambit
you prolly can imagine what comes now...
I have a feature request:
would it be possible to have an option to export the tracklist (tags) to a e.g. .txt file?
this would realy come in handy for greater amounts of samplers, especially if you burrrn them for friends...
ta.

Does this program support write offset? Would be useful for making some 1:1 copies of cd-r's.

(...)Burrrn uses cdrdao.exe for burrrning.
Burrrn is a (kind of advanced) frontend for
CDRDAO after all, and I don't think CDRDAO supports write offsets.

uhm.. yes

thanks.
another thing, the %-bar-indication that informs you about the burning process seems to a little uncorect, at least with my burner and setup.
if I want to burn a sampler, the bar reaches 100% far too early, like if you burn 16 tracks, 100% is alreasy shown when track 12 or so is reached, and another 40 sec pass.
e.g. nero doesn't show this behavior.
this is of course nothing realy to worry about, just wanted to mention it. thanks for the atention.
using PlexWriter 40/12/40A and WinXP SP1.

I have the same problem digga, but it seems to only be on 48x and 52x burns. If i drop the the speed down, the progress bar is correct. I know Gambit knows about his already.

though this is a minor issue, it's good to know that this a known problem that maybe get worked out.
btw, if I drop the speed to 20x or 16x (my usual burning speed), the behaviour is the same.
Just wanted to let you know that write offset corrected writing will be available in the next version, as well as splitting on sector boundaries (588 samples).

Great work Gambit! Looking forward to the next release...
Just a question about translations. Is there any chance of getting a pre-release of at least the language file? Would be nice to have all new strings translated and an updated language file in the installation package. I could fix my translation quite qickly if I can get hold of the language file this week. (hen I am off for a couple of weeks)

Awesome! I have been looking foward to having that, now I'll have a "one click" burner to go along with EAC, my cuesheets, and my FLACs.

I really appreciate all your work!

Has anybody written any 79min+ audio cd's with Burrrn ?
I've had trouble doing this with burnatonce and other burning software. They either
report 'not enough free space' or as burnatonce does just burn blank disks
It shouldn't require overburning with a 80min cdr.
dreamliner77
Jul 6 2004, 23:33
Yeah, I do all the time. I like to burn discs for my car and get as much on as I can and push the boundry to as full as I can get it. Beware though, not all 80 min discs are a full 80 min. Many are 79.xx
