I want to see the new PS featured version ASAP :-)

New version will probably be able to play back the PS files, but the encoder won't make it until the next version.

hehe sounds fantastic. since no PS files encoded first, how could to play back then?:-)

Sincerely, out of genuine curiosity, why?

You are aware PS only works for bitrates around 48kbps and lower...?

I was all excited about HE AAC too, but since it's launch, to this day, I only used it to create samples for the 64kbps listening test! I simply have no use for it - I have a reasonably large hard drive, I don't have any hardware player with limited memory that would support HE AAC, I don't do streaming at low bitrates...

he-aac is great for the video people

- allows good quality at pretty low bitrates - 64+ kbps
- allows good quality for multichannel - 192+ kbps

Will the new encoder have any improvements in the ~160kbps range (LC profile for my iPod)? As I'm planning a major re-encode session, and would like to know if it is worth waiting.

Is faad 2.1 beta already capable to play PS files?
