Microsoft has just decided to ship free Windows update CDs to whoever asks for them. The CD contains all updates and patches for all operating systems starting from Windows 98 all the way to Windows XP. The problem is that the CD contains updates released until October 2003. You have to download and install all other updates released subsequently.
This is great news for all the Windows 9x users who don't have the updates downloaded and archived. Looks like Microsoft will finally pull the plug on these OSs.

It's come in handy a few times, since I do a lot of support for random people with modem connections, and computers that have never been updated.

I still want to use my old Win98 system and feared of WindowsUpdate dropping support, now I don't have to worry about it or try to figure out what CD-R a certain update is on.
