I'm looking for real-time convolver in windows. Perhaps it uses DirectX Audio. Is there any tool for this purpose?

No. It's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a general purpose convolver so that any audio I play (eg. playing DVD) will go through that convolver filter.

VST plugin called "SIR"

very good. handles very long impulses. interface is okay, but it loads on clicking an impulse in it's file list, making it very easy to accidentally use a field recording as an impulse response ohmy.gif

google it, i'm sure it's around somewheres. smile.gif

also, http://www.noisevault.com/ is a good resource for all things convoluted smile.gif

oh, just read that you want to play DVDs through this... tricky. i don't know of any way to plug directx into VST, but you could fudge it by passing the sound card's "what-you-hear" channel into a realtime VST interface (plogues bidule is free, but takes some getting used to... google is your friend) and then compensate for the delay the impulse response will give.

I've downloaded the plugin called "SIR". But it's only dll, what do I need to run it as audio convolver? I also don't find word "plogues bidule" in google.
