This is a stupid newbie question. Sorry.
Is there anywhere I can get an old LAME_Enc.dll? I am looking for version 1.5 that was used with LAME 3.66.
I have the 3.66 exe files, but I don't know how to get the dll. Can someone offer a dumb newbie some instructions?
Thanks.

Why on earth would you want LAME 3.66?
Anyways, as far as I know, there was no DLL provided with 3.66. 3.88 was the first one with DLL. Correct me if I am wrong.
Also have a look here:

A bizarre request for sure!
I am working with an old piece of software that is hardware specific. It's creator tells me that he is getting it to work using "DLL: 1.5, Encoder: 3.66" Silly me had been using the most recent DLL.
I checked 3.88, which didn't work either.
I've checked with the author to see if he can give me a copy of this ancient relic, but I have not yet received a response.
Thanks for the help.

Is it possible to compile a DLL with the 3.66 source code?

I have all the old LAME sources I could find. 3.66 appears to be beta only? Or, was there a final, and does anyone have it? I'll look at compiling what I have tomorrow. I'll let you know how I get on!!

OK, despite 'what it says on the tin(!!)' the 3.66 sources appear to be 'final'.
You can d/l a 3.66 dll that seems to work fine with CDex1.51 from here:

Edit: BTW, this is an ICL4.5 compile.
