I am currently archiving my CDs to flac. After I rip with EAC to flac, I then use foobar and convert to mp3 with Lame 3.90.3. However, I noticed that my replaygain information is not stored in the tag. Is there a way to do this so I don't have to rescan?

Also, If I convert with ID3V2 or APEV2 tags using foobar, as soon as I scan the file with replaygain, then the tag converts to ID3V1.1 and I lose my comment field.

Any comments?

Check the settings under Playback, Input, Standard inputs, MP3 tag writing. You might want to use ID3v2 or APEv2 tags, too. ID3v1 tags cannot handle the ReplayGain fields.
