blink.gif What stereo should I get for a small bedroom? I like bass, but hate the hefty price tag of a subwoofer. I know 150 dollars isn't much for a stereo... but that all I want to spend for a stereo now.

Either that, or an iRiver IMP- 50 MP3/CD Player and Sennheiser 212 Pro Headphones! cool.gif

Anybody have any suggestions???

You're gonna get more bang for buck with headphones.

I'd probably skip the 212's though (wasn't impressed when I heard them). A few better options are Koss PortaPros2 ($19.99 at CircuitCity at the moment if you order online for instore pickup), Koss KSC35 ($35 from Koss.com), Sennheiser HD497 ($55-60), Grado SR60 ($60-70), Alessandro MS1 ($99 shipped), or Audio-Technica ATHA500 ($99 imported via Audiocubes.com).

As always Head-Fi is a good place for headphone info.

Get some kind of portable and headphones. Some of the CD/MP3 players cost very little (Sony has one for $60 and it plays variable bit rate MP3's) and a pair of SR60's are about $60 - $70 also.
