Right click and "Save Link as" worked fine for me.

nice work

it's working fine for me (firefox 0.9)

screenshot

my only suggestions are:

- try to add a way of displaying the current track name
- ask someone to design some icons that blend in with the rest of the firefox UI

To anyone who can't install cuz they have a nightly version, 0.9.1 or 0.9.2 just add this to your user.js.

user_pref("app.version", "0.9");
user_pref("general.useragent.vendorSub", "0.9");

I really wish we got an update that allowed the playlist to be collapseable within the browser window.

Somebody should ask Cusser for his code so they can continue the extension. This would be great if updated to really integrate Foobar into Firefox. Call it...FooFox tongue.gif

That would have to wait till Firefox 1.0. The theme for Firefox has not been finalized yet.

Me too. I would love something like this.

You have his code - the .xpi file is just a zip file.
Inside it contains a .jar file, which is also just a zip file, where you'll find some javascript and xml files (the code).
I don't have any idea how to code extensions for moz/firefox though huh.gif

Yea get a current track title in there....and it'll be sweet

Is there a chance that the CURRENT PLAYLIST is viewable through the sidebar? Alternately, is it viable to also view the different playlist through the sidebar?

THanks.

Heck, yes... effin'-a right! I use Firefox! And at this point, don't and wouldn't, use anything else. And I would love to try your extension when you get it ready.

I think it bears a little repeating that extensions that work for 0.8x versions don't always work for 0.9.

In fact, bugs in the implementation of the extension manager prompted an uncharacteristically quick update to Firefox 0.9.1.

So far, everything I've found works fine in the newest version, so make sure you are using that.

And please!... release the extension with a proper and complete de-install capability. Don't leave me with no choice but to just disable it if it breaks; or worse, have to go through a messy manual removal.

If it is broken and I can't get rid of it, I will not be amused! mad.gif

This isn't possible considering the way the extension works. It uses commandline switches such as /command:Playback/Play to control foobar, and there is no way to retrieve information (like the currently playing track or a playlist) using this method.

Works fine here. thanks.

I know this is an early version, but would it be possible to add a volume control bar ?
*

Yeah, volume control would be huge. Great work, btw!
