I just upgraded to 0.8.2...

and funny thing.. I had about 13 playlists loaded.. and they're all deleted now.

It'll take quite a while to get them all back.. and it would be nice if there were some way to autosave playlists?

I think this is a bug in the installer (I used special version), as when I previously installed it.. it wouldn't touch the default playlists.

Anyways.. is there any easy way to get them back?
Ruby
It caused no such thing for me... Do you have user profiles enabled? Maybe you changed that setting in the installer, and if you changed it back, the playlists would reappear... Just guessing, though.
Try searching for the fpl files, if they are still around somewhere, you can reload them any time.

foobar does automatically save all loaded playlists when you close the program. Either in its playlists folder, or in your user profile, depending on whether you have user profiles enabled or not.

I suspect Ruby's guess as to what your problem might be is pretty much dead-on.

OT: Do I sense a Full Metal Alchemist avatar in this thread?

I never had per user profile on, I don't now, and I don't plan on.

The configuration is fine, and I did a search for *.fpl.

In foobar2000\playlists, there is now only one playlist.. 000000000 - Default.fpl, whereas there were over 12 before.

I think somehow foobar erased these playlists..... I don't think there's any way to get them back.

Any way I can submit a bug report or anything of that type?

I'm afraid to start new playlists.. as it will take a lot of time, and I'm afraid that it will lower any chance of me getting back my old playlists...

Thanks.

Why don't you just save your playlists so you can reload them anytime?

I guess that means they're gone for good. If you have some kind of undelete application you can still try to recover them, although it seems kinda pointless to me. Are new playlists really that hard to create? Even with the extended playlist generator?

(OT) @ssamadhi97 - Yes, because even the Fullmetal Alchemist uses foobar for his music needs. biggrin.gif
