I have a Soundblaster Audigy Platinum eX

Should I be resampling to 48000 to get the best sound quality, or would it make absolutely no difference?

There would be an imperceptible improvement, because the latest Audigy drivers are already very good at resampling at the soundcard level. However, if you have the extra CPU cycles to spare, there's no harm using Foobar's.

Do NOT turn on slow mode, because then you'll really be wasting them.
