Hi everyone,
Hi Pio,

I have a very important studio session next week.
The studio is Metropolis.
They have a Prism ADA 8.
I need to feed this beast on 6 channel with my Nuendo 2 on my laptop (XP). Just playback, no recording.
I have 2 PCMCIA slots, 1 firewire and 4 USB2.

How to find a solution before the end of the week and for a very good price. huh.gif

This is why I need your help.

Thank you
plunger
As far as I know the Prism Sound ADA-8 has a slew of I/O options (depending of course on which ones the studio spec'ed) including TDIF, ADAT, AES3 etc... so if you can get an intermediary PCMCIA or Fireware interface which will output to the aforementioned interface formats, you'll be able to use their converters. I know MOTU's firewire boxes will handle ADAT, and Echo Audio makes a box (Layla 24/96) which connects via PCMCIA which also has ADAT outs. I believe RME would also have sometime to handle such a request. like the PCMCIA Digiface which has three Adat outs.

Of course you could always just render each of the six channels independantly (in 24 bit / 32 bit IEEE float) and then work on them using their in-house system.

I'm gonna check if my local dealer can have one of them fast. dry.gif
