I've got all my Ritchie Blackmore disks back from a friend and found that now they have tons of scratches. ohmy.gif So I desided to finally transfer them to aac.
Strange thing happened.
I've encode file with Extreme setting which states it would be 140-190Kbit LC AAC.
But resulting bitrate is 251Kbit.
So, is something wrong with latest Nero version (6.3.1.10), or this song is too hard to encode ?
This was Ritchie Blackmore Blackmore's Night, 1. Shadow of the Moon.

The target bitrates listed in the encoder settings don't really match up with actual average bitrate. Give the "transparent" setting a try, that usually results in bitrates between 160 and 200 for me.

Yep. That is.
But funny thing is that 251 is even out of the next Audiophile preset (160-250) smile.gif
Ususally I encode music (regular) to 128, only my favorite gets to VBR presets, so I was a bit confused, sinsce I didn't encode to Extreme for a rather long time...
