Full Version: MPIO FL100 Decoding Problem

I just purchased a Dell DJ15 for my mp3 files. Most of my files are encoded with lame 3.90 either in vbr mode from audiograbber or using alt preset standard. When using the MPIO, I found many songs which would not play correctly not matter how I encoded them. CBR, ABR, VBR all at high and low bit rates. I was going mad as I thought my encoding scheme was not working correctly. These files did play well on my PC with winamp, sonique and WMP.

Anyway, once I loaded these files onto the DJ15, all of them played correctly. My conclusion is that there the quality of decoding varies by unit. Has anyone else experienced this or did I perhaps have a bad one. Latest firmware etc.

Perhaps ID3v2 tags not the encoding?
