so i still feel the 3.902 and 3.92 are better than the rest of lame version.

How different? Can you back this up with ABX testing?

Opinions are fine (and welcome), but unsubstantiated claims are not needed here.

For instance, did you know there is a recent, *serious* listening test which compares LAME versions ?

Also you say you can hear a difference between LAME 3.90.x and CD. Good, but how did you test it ? Needless to mention, you didn't even say on what bitrates, settings, audio samples and equipment you noticed that. What kind of artifacts did you hear ? Did you do an ABX test ?

For your information, an ABX test would be one of the ways to back up the claim that you made.

I feel that sometimes, for some users, Duct Tape 1.0 may be a better idea than LAME 3.90.2
Of course, that's without ABX.. but still, I'm pretty sure of it
